Had an unusually social weekend. Friday I heard Acid Mothers Temple, a Japanese psychedelic band, play at the Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath. Incredibly loud, exciting music! Quite a crowd there, some of them old enough to remember psychedelics the first time round, like me... Saturday, neighbours' birthday barbecue. Laid back fun, until I realised that one of their friends was stranded without a taxi and needed to catch a train in less than half an hour. I dropped him at New Street station with four minutes to go - hope he caught the train OK! After that I saw a pre-Edinburgh theatre show by Pink Space at the Cross in Moseley - "a comic look at female fantasies" - good. Today I have been mostly chilling out. Reading a book called "The Frog-Snogger's Handbook" about networking. More interesting than I expected. Back to work tomorrow.
